Over the past four years Jackson Minerals Ltd has become a significant landholder in the southern part of the Laverton region. Pegging and acquisition activities have secured ownership or Joint Venture rights to mineral leases and applications covering a total area of approximately 1,400 km2, centred on Jackson Gold’s previously owned Wallbrook Hill Project and located 125 km north-east of Kalgoorlie. The SLTZ tenement package comprises one granted mining lease, 38 mining lease applications, 13 granted prospecting licences, 29 granted exploration licences and 15 applications for exploration licences.
The total resource inventory for Jackson Minerals' SLTZ Project is 731,600 t @ 1.89 g/t Au for 44,500 oz. Resources within the SLTZ project area have been delineated at Yerilla (Bull Terrier) and Yilgangi (Golden Rainbow). Jackson has defined a gold resource of 32,500 oz at the Bull Terrier Deposit. At Golden Rainbow, Jackson has defined a near surface oxide resource of 12,000 oz.
As the result of Jackson Minerals' previous exploration focus on the Wallbrook Hill resources the SLTZ prospect areas have largely lagged behind in their assessment. In excess 25 untested targets have been identified in the three distinct tectonic environments, namely the Murrin-Margaret Sector, Laverton Tectonic Zone and Keith Kilkenny Tectonic Zone, within the SLTZ Project. Jackson Gold believes that the SLTZ Project and region remains highly prospective for the definition of further resources. The SLTZ Project has a full suite of grass roots to advanced prospects within the highly prospective south Laverton region which justify sustained exploration.
